The Terracotta Army are the Terracotta Warriors and Horses of Qin Shi Huangdi, first emperor of China. Terra-cotta figures from the year 210 BC, were discovered in 1974 by several farmers near Xi'an, Shaanxi Province, China, near the First Qin Emperor Mausouleum. The figures include warriors, chariots, horses, officials, acrobats, strongmen, and musicians. It is estimated that in the three pits containing the Terracotta Army there were over 8,000 soldiers, 130 vehicles, with 520 horses and 150 horses, riders, most of which are still buried in the graves.
